About me
Understand first, then buy.
I came to computers early — they interested me more than anything else, and the interest soon turned into work for other people. The first paid job came while I was still at school. It has been my profession ever since.
Then came a degree in computer engineering at a university of applied sciences. What stayed from it is above all an eye for how things hang together below the surface — from the network up to the application. That helps when a problem is not where it shows.
Today the work ranges from the workstation in a trade business to the specialist application for a federal office. What runs through it: I first look at what a business actually needs before anything is bought. Often the answer is simpler and cheaper than expected.
